About BEL Arts!
The Bald Eagle Lake Art Crawl began with a simple idea - connecting local artists and bringing more art to our community.
In April 2024, artist Cathlin McKenzie-Larsen posted on Facebook to see if others might be interested in forming an artist network around Bald Eagle Lake. The response was immediate and enthusiastic. Later that month, a small group of artists and art supporters gathered at Caribou Coffee in White Bear Lake for an informal first meeting. That gathering sparked something special.
From there, a planning committee formed, ideas took shape, and a date was set. On September 14, 2024, the first annual Bald Eagle Lake Art Crawl came to life. The event exceeded all expectations, featuring more than 55 talented artists, crafters, and musicians hosted at homes throughout the Bald Eagle Lake neighborhood.
Encouraged by the overwhelming community support, we knew this effort had the potential to grow into something more. In December 2024, Bald Eagle Lake Arts officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing us to expand our mission and deepen our impact—bringing more creativity, connection, and artistic opportunities to the community.
The momentum continued in 2025, with over 100 artists participating in the Bald Eagle Lake Art Crawl, making it another incredible and memorable day. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, attended, supported, and helped make the event such a success.
As we look ahead to the 2026 Bald Eagle Lake Art Crawl and beyond, we’re excited to see how this community continues to grow. Whether you’re an artist, crafter, musician, art lover, or supporter of local creativity, we invite you to join us on this journey. Thank you for being part of our story.
